J S 1988-1996
We have been notified of the sad death of Greg Dancer who passed away suddenly from a heart attack on 25th July, aged 46.
Greg attended Wycliffe 1988 – 1996 from the Junior School through to the Senior School sixth form where he was a Prefect and Head of Springfield House. Throughout his school years Greg was renowned for his beaming grin and jovial sense of humour, which made him such an amiable friend to peers and faculty alike.
He was a broadly learned student, just as happy in the art block as he was the science labs, with particular interests in CDT and Biology. He also made a fearsome loose head prop for the 2nd XV.
After his schooling, Greg went on to study at Harper Adams Agricultural College before running the family farm at Cornwell, near Chipping Norton. Manor Farm had recently won the Champion Farm Prize at Moreton-in-Marsh show, which was a true testament to Greg’s skill and knowledge of agriculture and wider countryside issues.
Greg was laid to rest on 19th August at St Peter’s Church in the village that was his home for the duration of his life. He is survived by his wife Caroline and daughters Grace and Katie.
If you would like to have your memories of Greg posted on this webpage, please feel free to email them to TWS@wycliffe.co.uk
